Your Gift will benefit Student Emergency Aid

In times of need, the COM Foundation has a Student Emergency Aid (SEA) fund for students enduring financial hardships. We understand how difficult it can be for students to continue their education while under financial duress. A fundamental role of the COM Foundation is providing students in need with the ability to achieve their higher education dreams.

Car repairs, medical emergencies, temporary housing or childcare needs, and other life events can easily derail a student’s educational journey. COM Foundation’s SEA Fund provides emergency financial support for students to help with basic family needs, allowing them to stay on track and relieving stress caused by unexpected financial burdens.  Emergency aid is provided on a case-by-case basis and vetted through a consistent application and review process. Students may request funds and receive aid as often as once per academic year.

By contributing to the SEA Fund, you’re giving students a chance to stay on track and keep moving toward their dreams. With your help, they won’t have to choose between their education and their immediate needs. Your generosity ensures they have the resources to keep going, no matter what life throws their way.

Help us reach our goal of $20,000 this year!

The Purpose of Giving Tuesday

Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving that originated in 2012. Its purpose is to encourage people to take part in philanthropy that helps support organizations and individuals in need.

Every year, on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, people across the country come together to celebrate a day of “radical generosity” focused on giving, volunteering, and helping others.

This year’s featured SEA recipient is Collegiate High School student, Jena Jackson. Please watch her video as she shares her story and the impact that Student Emergency Aid has made on her academic experience.

Our SEA Fund provides important resources and support to students in times of need. You can continue helping students when they need it most by making a Giving Tuesday donation today!
