Opening Doors Promise Scholarship
I decided to take advantage of this scholarship because I’m doing it on my own, not getting any financial help from anybody else. The Promise program was a huge opportunity. Since I don’t have to pay for college out of my pocket, it allows me to focus more on my education and my schoolwork. I feel like now there are more opportunities for us to attend college, and not make the expenses an excuse. Students should apply for the Promise Scholarship because it’s free money, free money toward your education. And I believe your education opens up more doors for your future. I will be the first one in my family to graduate from college. I want to be able to make my family and friends proud and be able to make my parents’ sacrifice worth it.
